Gun Clingers - Gubment Permits
Do any Morons have your AZ concealed carry permits? Can anyone recommend a class? Would any of you be interested in signing up for a CCW class with fellow morons? I know the days of concealed carry are numbered with the Obamasaih, but what the hell...
I don't have one, but I just had that conversation with a PI-type guy last week. He was already in the process of getting his CCW, but said that if he had to start now, he probably wouldn't do it. I think he also mentioned that it takes 90 days...gettin kinda down to the wire if you were planning on getting it done before the coronation. Good Luck.
I was considering taking the CCW in early December at Bass Pro Shops, but you've made me think twice.
I'm curious what the reason is for not doing it. Staying out of the database? Not calling attention to yourself? If you have more details, I'm all ears.
Jake, pretty sure you nailed it: I think that his take was "staying out of database" AND "not calling attention", at least that was the jist I got from him. We didn't get into detail on this, perhaps unfortunately. I wasn't particularly in the mood for more convo with him after I learned that he was one of the 10 Mil Republicans that did NOT vote. I verbally but pleasantly thrashed him and then we went back to the biz purpose for the phone call. We're all in one database or another, so maybe it's not a big deal to get CCW. On the other hand, that's one LESS database you're in...FWTW.
SigO's brother has one--he promised her a class for Xmas--I promised to throw her out if I caught her carrying one of mine, period. I used to be a cop here--wasn't a problem THEN--ccw in Az has always been rather relaxed, but then, I know the laws have changed over the last 20 years or so.
I have gone soft--'democratic'-- in my old age--non lethal (2nd gen taser) guess i prefer to watch pain while they do the chicken ala Roscoe Rules (the Choirboys, 1978 or so) pros and cons to that position, civilly speaking, I know.
I've had enough NICS checks done that I'm in the Thought Police database anyway. The CCW is for the interim time period before the civilian corps start making rounds. Besides the Goracle has encouraged greenies onto civil disobedience to save the planet - I gotta defend myself against that!
cinaz - I'm glad to hear you have the same problem with your non-voting friend. Considering the amount of alcohol I had to consume to connect the line next to Juan McLame, he really wussed out in not voting - it wasn't easy for any of us. But, what we were voting against... that was easy.
